Our Little Santa

My baby afraid...never. I had been anxiously awaiting the Christmas Party at Riddell Plumbing (Scott's customer) as I know they have a Santa there and Hudson would have time to warm up to him! Didn't take him a second to run up to Santa to show him his new cell phone (toy but he doesn't have to know that as he has put my phone, Katie's phone, and his dads phone through the ringer and almost flushed one down the commode!) He was fascinated with Santa! I think he knew they looked alike! Then we had another Christmas party at the Ashley's house Friday evening and he loved his some Stephanie! Shes the little princess driving him in the jeep! He played with the dogs, terrorized their tree, rode in the wagon, and wanted desperately to drive the jeep as his new addiction is steering wheels but he could reach the pedals!

The Boys Nine Months

Hudson continues to amaze us everyday. Todays milestone was flushing the comode. He just cant sit and is always pulling up on stuff and exploring. He has quite the personality and I dont know how it could be possible to love him anymore than Scott and I do. He continues to grow and be a good eater. He LOVES food and eats most anything: bananas are his fav, oranges, carrotts, crackers, LOVES goldfish, cereal bars, baby food, cherrios, yogurt, etc. He has 5 teeth and #6 isnt far away. He weighed 21 lbs 12 oz at his last MD visit and is 30.5 inches long. He is long and lean and wearing size 4 diapers and 12-18 month clothes! He is our big boy. We have been to the state fair, Jasper, Austin, laser tag, etc in the past few months. I havent blogged lately as I have had my hands quite full with him! And have I mentioned I hate the way this blogger post my pics backwards and puts my captions all over the page. I have no patients with blogging i suppose! He loves to sit and spin in circles and loves his blankie at bedtime. He is not a TV watcher and no saucers for him! He will NOT be confined! I anticipate walking anyday now!

Getting Ready 4 Bed!

I have tried to start an evening routine and have the love nugget down by 9pm. He seems to rest better on a full belly of baby food so we eat, drink, bathe (not every night, just depending on how much we let hudson feed himself and how messy he gets, ha!), brush gums (still no teeth), read, and sing and rock, say our prayers, and hes out. He has slept in his big boy crib for a week and so far so good. He likes to stick his hands and feet out and they are still to small to get stuck. I cant rest until I get Katie to talk into the monitor everynight even though she sleeps right next door to his room. As for baby food, he loves it all. He prefers vegetables and has had squash, green beans (by far his fav), carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, pears, applesauce, prunes, bananas, etc. No food allergies there and he is tired of plain cereal. I mix a little oatmeal or rice in his pears! Yum Yum.

He likes to do it himself and is gentle not to gag!

Loving some green beans!
Opens up like a little bird waiting for a worm!

Loves to eat

Holds that bottle like no ones business!

His new tub and letters! The tub reminds me of Hunter!

Brushing those gummy bears!

Reading a bedtime story
And the Sand Man arrived after now I lay me down to sleep!

7/4/2009 Weekend

Thursday night Hudson got to see his first fireworks, swim, and have his first trampoline experience at Dakota and Arnies house. Dakota loves him dearly and cant wait until he is old enough for her to babysit. He is not scared of fireworks or water in the slightest. He liked the firecrackers that showered on the ground. When the pops shot into the sky he would not follow them up. Maybe at New Years he will understand the concept of them flying into the sky.

Hudson and I left early to head to Jasper the weekend before Memorial Day with Granny. His Dad arrived Memorial Day weekend and missed him bunches the entire week. We had a very eventful week in good ole East Texas. We made our rounds but still didn't get to see everyone. Of course the week was filled with first for my little man, first ballpark experience, first time driving a car, first grass experience, first encounter with the twins, etc. I really wanted him to swim with Hunter and Cooper but the pool was still too cold. I'm afraid he will outgrow some of his swimming trunks before he gets to wear them. Strangely enough this Memorial Day was cool.

Nicknames

My poor Hudson Levi has quite a list of names, Hud, Huddy Buddy, Love Nugget, Hudder Butter, Kiddie Kat. Poor child will not know what to answer to by the time he learns his name. Hes doing well sleeping and eating. Mom is just about burned out on nursing and my milk supply has really decreased since our trip to Mexico last month. Im glad he enjoys cereal, babyfood, and formula. He screams whenever he finishes a bottle, 6 or 8 oz he doesn't care. HE ALWAYS WANTS MORE! I tell him he cant eat all day long! He usually goes 4-6 hours between feedings and takes 1-2 hour naps during the day. He has been going down at 8-9pm and sleeps til around 4am, falls back asleep and sleeps til 9am. I pretty content with that, now if I would just go to bed with him at 9 we would be doing good!

Toys

His feet propped up crack me up!
His friends in the swing with.
His favorite toy of all, the play mat!

Natalie got me thinking before I was pregnant about someone who had a home covered in toys and baby gear. I made a vow to never be that person but have found its super difficult to avoid all the clutter at this age as my Little Love Nugget must be repositioned and entertained with something new quite often! He has never been a fan of the swing but has began to like it OUTSIDE only and really likes going on strolls with Harley. He really hates the exersaucer for some reason and I hope that slowly changes as the swing has. Scott says our vocabulary has changed entirely (boppy, bumbo, bassinet, packnplay, etc). He still is confused about what some things are called. Seriously, do we need all this crap!
